Group Exercise Classes
Stay motivated and enjoy the energy of a group workout with our diverse selection of fitness classes. Led by certified instructors, our classes cater to all fitness levels and interests:

Wellness Program
Take Control of Your Health – Diabetes Prevention Program
DPP is a year-long, evidenced-based program designed to help
adults with prediabetes prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.
In the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program, a trained Lifestyle
Coach will introduce topics in a supportive, small group environment
and encourage participants as they explore how healthy eating,
physical activity and behavior changes can help reduce their risk for
diabetes and benefit their overall health. Participants receive a FREE
one year membership to the YMCA while in the program.
We offer a program for residents of Lackawanna County, here at the Y
and one program for Susquehanna County residents held at the Forest
City Public Library.
Sessions begin in June.

Strength & Conditioning
Looking to build muscle, increase endurance, or develop a structured fitness routine? Our state-of-the-art fitness center offers:

Senior & Adaptive Fitness
We believe fitness should be accessible to everyone. Our senior-friendly and adaptive fitness programs ensure that all members have a path to wellness that fits their abilities and needs.
- Enhance Fitness – A low-impact class designed for those with arthritis and mobility concerns.
- Silver Sneakers Program – A variety of classes tailored for older adults to improve mobility and strength.
- Adaptive Wellness Programs – Modified exercises for individuals with special needs or mobility limitations.
